User Manual [Previous]  [Next] W7002 Distributed Association To Non-Distributed ClassUmple semantic warning reported when a distributable class navigates to a class that is not distributableA class marked distributable may have its objects in another virtual machine, so an association from that class is a remote reference. This warning is reported when such a class has an association that is navigable toward a class that is not distributable. The distributable class would then refer to an ordinary object that is not set up for remote access. An arrow pointing at the ordinary class, or a bidirectional association written in the distributable class, both cause the warning. To avoid the warning, mark the other class distributable as well, as shown in the second example. If the first class does not need to be remote, remove distributable from it instead. Example
// This example generates the warning message
class Supplier
{
distributable;
0..1 -> * Product;
}
class Product
{
}
